The government and NGOs meet to discuss the priorities in 2015

On Wednesday, 25 February, Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma, sector ministers, the Non-Governmental Organisations and NGOs that signed Collaboration Memorandum with the Cabinet of Ministers met to discuss the most important issues for the NGO sector in 2015.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma talked about the government’s most important tasks that are to be carried out in close collaboration with civic society.
Culture Minister Dace Melbārde and ministry officials reported on the priorities for the development of civic society in 2015 and the progress of the formation of the State-financed NGO foundation.
On 25 February, new NGOs also joined the Memorandum, formally signing it and certifying the implementation of joint collaborations and goals.
