Katrīna Neiburga’s work "Solitude" is comprised of three video projections. The artist introduces the viewer to her private space, but nevertheless keeps him at a distance — this emotional and physical loneliness is strangely cold; it even borders on indifference. The work of art is comprised of photographs, which have been assembled in a continuous stream. Neiburga explains that this technique allows her to work independently from an operator or some other assistant. "Independence" or loneliness of her own choosing is particularly important to her in this work.
